Garden rooms firm buys Kettering premises
It will become a manufacturing facility with a showroom
A firm specialising in garden rooms is to open a new site in Kettering.
Composite Garden Buildings, based in Islip, will use the industrial facility in Telford Way on the corner of Bartley Drive as a manufacturing facility with a showroom.
The firm supplies and installs garden rooms for all year round use with a timber look, but without the painting and maintenance associated with timber products.
Director Jason Wilder said: “With more and more people working from home - particularly at the moment due to Covid-19 - having an office space can be essential and what better place to work than in the comfort of your own garden office - a dedicated space separate from your home.
Commenting on the sale of the property, Prop-Search director Richard Baker said: “Even with the challenges faced by everyone at the moment with the ‘lockdown’, we still managed to complete the sale to an agreed timeframe.
“Ironically, as more people have experienced home-working due to current circumstances, it could become more normal for staff to split their time between working from the office and the home - and no doubt garden rooms as made by Composite Garden Buildings could be appearing in a garden near you shortly.”
