A bar specialising in wine and tasty morsels of cheese and chocolate has now opened in Desborough.

Noir in Station Road opened its doors on December 17 and proved so popular it was fully booked each night it was open last week.

It will also offer 30 different types of chocolate from a chocolatiers in Brighton and 30 types of cheese from a Lincolnshire firm run by a mother and daughter duo - including gin and tonic cheese and charcoal cheese.

And the £20,000 investment is also a feast for the eyes with a flower wall and indoor water features to "bring the outdoors indoors", with a secluded garden.

Owner Kris Malde said he's looking forward to what they can do next year - and hopes it will be an Instagram sensation.

He said: "Guests loved the vibe and atmosphere.

"We are looking forward to 2021 where we will be opening up our garden and introducing outdoor igloos.

"We want to be the most 'Instagrammable' venue in Northamptonshire!"

Kris has permanently moved his popular tapas bar into the bigger Ritz event space next door with Noir moving into the old tapas bar unit.
