Another store closure at Wellingborough's Swansgate Centre
Gaming fans will be disappointed with the news
Another store has closed at Wellingborough's Swansgate Shopping Centre.
Game announced on Twitter that it's Wellingborough store would not be re-opening after December 27.
The tweet, posted on Christmas Eve, said: "It’s with great sadness that we announce that our store will be closing.
"Our last day of being open is 27/12/2020.
"You can find the team you know and love in @GAMERushdenLake upstairs in House of Fraser, Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre."
The Northants Telegraph contacted Game for a comment but a spokesman said they're 'unable to provide any information on store closures.'
The closure of the Wellingborough branch of Game comes after Argos bosses confirmed last month that they wouldn't be re-opening their store in the shopping centre, which boasts more than 40 shops and several outlets selling food.
Other big names to leave the shopping centre in recent years include Tesco, HMV and Dorothy Perkins.
A spokesman for the Swansgate Shopping Centre told the Northants Telegraph: "We have no comment at this stage."
