Whipping up a Fiori at church
St Mary and All Saints Church, in Fotheringhay, will be hosting a concert by Fiori Musicali on Sunday.
The baroque chamber group will be performing music by Mozart. Heading the bill is Mozart’s Laudate Dominum from the Dominican Vespers – a transcendental piece for solo soprano, choir and orchestra, but as ever Fiori’s programme includes some intriguing rarities. The highlight of the evening will be Mozart’s beautiful Missa Brevis in G when choir, soloists and chamber orchestra combine, filling this historic church with the sublime sounds of the late 18th century.
