Tickets on sale for 2015 Film Northants Festival

Northamptonshire cinema goers can now purchase tickets for a weekend of horror, documentary and drama plus workshops and talks at the 2015 Film Northants Festival this autumn.

The two day film festival will be held at Errol Flynn Filmhouse on October 10 and 11 and tickets are just £5 for each screening or £20 for the whole weekend.

The schedule includes a free film-making workshop for 11 to 16-year-olds, a horror night introduced by film experts from The University of Northampton, a community film screening and an interactive film event in Underground 1 & 2.

The weekend will also include the annual Under 16s and Over 16s Film Northants awards for the best five minute short film made in the county.

Dr Lily Canter, festival chair, said: “We are really excited about our extended programme this year which features a diverse range of films for all ages and tastes and an opportunity for audiences to see the great talent from our county’s film-makers. It will be a real celebration of film and creativity in Northamptonshire.”

Martin Sutherland, chief executive of the Errol Flynn Filmhouse, added: “We’re delighted to be hosting the Film Northants awards for a second year, and we’re looking forward to a packed weekend of workshops and screenings. I’m sure it’s going to be a great event and I’m thrilled that we can do our bit to encourage the wealth of film-making talent there is in the county.”
