There’ll be plenty of corny jokes and Sinbad’s crew have been given an 80s makeover which acts including Adam Ain’t and Cyndi Leaper.

Director Debbie Malcolm explains: “We had great fun giving last year’s Old King Cole a 70s theme, so we decided to go 80s this time with some brilliant songs and costumes. We’ve got Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Bananarama and even Kajagoogoo!”

The show opens with the news that poor Sultan Vinegar ruler of Pring-Al-Toob, has been cursed by evil sorceress Tamato to lose his sight, unless he can give her the greatest treasure in the world.

Duston Players will once again be supporting local charity Niamh’s Next Step.

Sinbad The Sailor is at Duston Community Centre in Pendle Road until Saturday December 5. Tickets are 7:30pm in the evenings, with a 2:30pm matinee on Saturday. Tickets are available from www.dustonplayers.org.uk or by calling the box office on 07979 876047.
