Review - Legally Blonde The Musical at Kilworth House Theatre

When you go and watch musical and you are humming all of the tunes in the car on the way home, then you know you have been to a great show and this was among the best.

Following the film of the same name, Legally Blonde is a musical adaptation which sees the ditzy blonde Elle Woods go to Harvard Law School in an attempt to win back an old boyfriend.

The range and timing of all of the cast is phenomenal. Jennifer Harding plays the role of Elle with plenty of gutsy determination and the range she has hitting the high notes are a delight.

It feels harsh on the rest of a brilliant cast to pick only one out but Jodie Jacobs playing the role of Paulette has one hell of a voice that you can’t help but fall in love with her character.

But this isn’t just a straight forward musical. Beyond the songs, the sass and the glitz, it is musical with real depth and something to say. It is a show which can act as an inspiration to everyone and I defy anyone not to have enjoyed themselves at the end of it.

This is an award winning show and you can see why. If you want to see West End entertainment without the price tag, I can’t recommend this show enough. Simply superb.

Legally Blonde The Musical can be seen at Kilworth House Theatre until Sunday September 20. Tickets for the show can be booked by calling the box office on 01858 881939 or visit www.kilworthhousetheatre.co.uk
