Plenty to laugh about at village festival

There will be two evenings of comedy as part of the Earls Barton Village Festival.

Monday June 22 sees An Evening Without Jake Thackray, with John Watterson performing the classic and highly entertaining songs of the late Jake.

He wrote observational and satirical and featured heavily on radio and television from the late 60s. Tickets for this show are £5.

A night of stand-up comes to the festival on Wednesday June 24.

The headline act is Hal Cruttenden (pictured), one of the leading stand up’s on the UK circuit and on TV, who will be previewing his 2015 Edinburgh Festival show.

He is also a regular on panel shows including Have I Got News For You and Mock the Week.

He will be supported by rising comedy star Pierre Novellie and the whole evening will be compered by Rich Wilson. Tickets are £10.
