A national 4 x 4, trekking and travel show will be held this weekend in Northamptonshire.
More than 80 trade stands will be present at Adventure Overland, which will take place at Whilton Mill Karting Centre, at Whilton Locks near Daventry, on Saturday and Sunday.
The show aims to bring together all types of adventure travel under one roof, representing motorised transport like trailbikes, 4 x 4 vehicles and non-motorised transport such as cycles and aspects of trekking.
To accompany the trade stands and club displays there will activities such as bushcraft displays, children’s driveable 4 x 4 vehicles and a host of travel seminars.
There will also be demos in the Bushcraft Activities Area, showcasing a specialised field which emcompasses everything from basic survival skills to wilderness training, bushlore, tracking, navigation and first aid knowledge.
There will also be plenty of display transport on show, including overland campers and expedition vehicles, both self built or bought from specialist companies.
There will also be a send-off for Sheela Turner and Oyvind Helgerud, who will soon be taking their Toyota Landcruiser VX from Nordkapp in Norway to Cape Agulhas in South Africa.
The event will be open between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and between 10am and 4pm on Sunday. Tickets are £10 for adults but children under 16 go free.
