The much-loved story of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs will be told in a production at the Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering next week.

The Kettering Youth Theatre Group will present this classic tale, which follows the story of Snow White, her encounters with a group of eccentric dwarfs and her feud with the wicked Queen.

Snow White is a German fairytale which is now known throughout the world. It is believed that the seven dwarfs were first given individual names in the Broadway play in 1912, and then given different names in the now famous 1937 film by Walt Disney.

There have been many thousands of Snow White productions and many different versions of the story featuring everything from a poisoned apple to a magic mirror (belonging to the Queen, who is jealous of Snow White’s beauty).

This Kettering group has been putting on shows for 37 years and includes many talented local children in its casts.

The show starts on Wednesday, October 31 and continues until November 3. On Wednesday and Thursday, the play starts at 7pm, on Friday it starts at 6pm and on Saturday there are performances at 1pm and 6pm.

Tickets cost £8 or £6.50 for concessions. Tickets are £25 for a family of four.
