Wellingborough Pantomime Society is proud to present its annual traditional family pantomime and they are giving away a family ticket.

This year they are putting on Aladdin at The Castle in Wellingborough from Tuesday, January 14, to Sunday, January 19, with the title role being played by newcomer to the society Elly Taylor.

The wicked Abanazer is seeking the magic lamp that contains the all-powerful Genie, so that he can rule the world, and is just steps away from succeeding!

Is all hope lost? No! Help is at hand! A family posse of wannabe heroes are here to foil Abanazer’s evil scheme.

The innocent local lad, Aladdin, Tyson the Panda, the cheeky Wishee Washee and Aladdin’s colourful mother, washerwoman Widow Twankey are ready to intervene and save the day!

Throw in a mystical Slave of the Ring, the Emperor of China, a beautiful Princess and a couple of inept policemen and you have all the ingredients for a fantastic tale and great entertainment.

To be in with a chance of winning a family ticket (two adults and two children) for the opening night at 7.30pm please answer the following simple question:

What appears when Aladdin rubs the magic lamp?

Answers should be sent to jon.baish@virginmedia.com containing relevant contact details and contact telephone number.

The closing date for entries is Sunday, January 12, at 5pm and the winner shall be chosen at random and contacted in the evening by 9pm.

The tickets will be kept at the box office for collection on the night.

The show is on at 7.30pm Tuesday to Saturday with a matinee on Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

If you entered but haven’t heard by Sunday evening tickets can also be booked online at www.thecastle.org.uk or by telephone on 01933 270007.
