The Liane Carroll Trio return to the county for a village show this weekend.
The pianist and singer formed The Liane Carroll Trio in 1990, going on to tour and record with US guitar legend Jerry Donahue, Gerry Rafferty and Long John Baldry.
She has won numerous awards, including Best Vocalist and Best of Jazz at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2005 for her album, Billy No Mates.
Her album, Up and Down, was voted Best Jazz Album of the Year in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards in 2012 and she won Best British Vocalist at the 2013 British Jazz Awards.
Last year, she guested on BBC Radio 4’s The Horne Section with Alex Horne and still conducts workshops and performs across the UK and Europe. Carroll plays Harlestone Village Hall on Saturday, November 15. Doors open at 6.30pm. Advance tickets cost £15 via www.wegottickets.com/event/289196
