There will be a chance for young people to learn everything from hip hop to storytelling as part of a series of Theatre Fun Days in Wellingborough.

The hip hop fun day will take place on Monday from 1pm–2.30pm. This course allows youngsters to learn funky new moves to the latest tunes and create their own choreography.

A rock and roll event will be held on Monday at 10.30am. Participants will learn how to put kicks, flicks, jumps, throws and flips into dance duets.

Then on Tuesday, August 6 at 10.30am, there will be a storytelling course where people can learn how to devise their own stories using games and theatre exercises.

A Mask Theatre event will be held at 1pm on the same day, which involves creating a variety of masks and learning how to develop character and storytelling, using masks and mime.

And on Wednesday, August 7, at 10.30am, there will be a song-writing session, teaching participants how to get creative with words, beats and rhythms, to create a summer anthem and short stories to be sung as songs.

Sessions cost £6 each, £4.80 for concessions, or £30 for all six. Courses are suitable for ages seven to 12. See www.thecastle.org.uk
