The Royal & Derngate theatre in Northampton is again collaborating with The Crick Crack Club to bring the story Under Her Skin to the Underground stage.
Told by storyteller Debs Newbold, with the help of musician Laurel Swift, Under Her Skin is said to be uplifting, definitely modern and belly-shakingly funny. It is a contemporary telling of a very old British folk tale.
It is the story of three lost souls, one smoggy city and a boatful of delicious raw fish. Combining dynamic performance storytelling with the effusive energy of traditional dance and music on clogs, double bass, fiddle and voice, the show plays with the conventions of storytelling.
The story will be told tonight at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £9.50 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01604 624811.
