The Tutti Frutti Theatre Company has celebrated its 21st birthday by commissioning leading children’s playwright Mike Kenny to write a new production of the much-loved fairytale Rapunzel.
This new play is to be performed on Saturday at The Castle Theatre in Wellingborough, with the performances taking place at 11am and 2pm.
Rapunzel is a tale of a girl who is taken away from what she knows and protected from all the things that she loves.
Placed high up in a tower above the world and faced with the challenge of growing up she is found alone and dreaming.
With music from Chris Mellor, movement from TC Howard and design by Catherine Chapman, Rapunzel is a show for children all about the curiosity and joys of growing up, taking risks and discovering who you are.
This show will be a welcome return for the company following their well received production of the Hare and Tortoise last summer.
Rapunzel is suitable for children aged three and over. Tickets cost £8.50 or £6.50. Family tickets are available priced £25 for two adults and two children.
