Another line-up of comedy talent has been put together for tomorrow’s Screaming Blue Murder night at the Royal & Derngate.
The evening will be compered by Dan Evans and will include performances by Noel James, Sally-Anne Hayward and Luke Toulson.
Luke gave up teaching geography the moment he realised children do not applaud at the end of lessons.
But those unappreciative youngsters’ loss was comedy’s gain, as his first Edinburgh Fringe show was nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award and he went on to win the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year title.
Sally-Anne is winner of the Holsten Pils Fans of Comedy Award and she is not only a compere at comedy nights across the country, but is also a regular MC at Glastonbury. She is said to have a “disarming mix of ingratiating charm and unsettling pugnacity”.
The show will start at 8.15pm, but doors open at 7.45pm. Tickets cost £11.50 in advance or £12.50 on the door.
The show is recommended for those aged 16 and over. Call 01604 624811 or visit www.royalandderngate.co.uk
