Fans of Dirty Dancing could have the time of their lives when a tribute to this famous dance movie visits Royal & Derngate tonight.

A Night of Dirty Dancing takes a trip back to the summer of 1963, reliving Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey’s sizzling performance in this coming-of-age romance.

All the hits from the legendary soundtrack are performed in this fast-moving, choreographed concert, including She’s Like the Wind, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Do You Love Me, Be My Baby, Hungry Eyes and the Oscar-winning The Time of My Life.

Winner of ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes for his portrayal of Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow, Paul Doody leads an all-star cast of 26 West End performers.

A Night of Dirty Dancing is not the West End touring musical but a new song and dance show. In addition to the hits from the film, there’s a tribute to the late Patrick Swayze, with a medley of songs from his other movie appearances, including Unchained Melody from Ghost and Mad World from Donnie Darko.

A Night of Dirty Dancing will start at 8pm. To book tickets, priced £23, call the box office on 01604 6248211 or log onto www.royalandderngate.co.uk
