Abington Park Museum in Northampton is currently the venue for Looking Glass Theatre’s latest production... a staging of the classic story, Treasure Island.

Looking Glass Theatre members are inviting audiences to join them as they set sail on the high seas in search of hidden treasure. There will be a chance to meet Jim Hawkins and join his quest to stop Long John Silver and the pirates from finding hidden gold.

This comical staging has been adapted and directed by James Smith and is being presented by four travelling players who will be entertaining audiences with their swash-buckling interpretation. The show is said to be suitable for all the family. Performances at Abington Park Museum’s courtyard will take place today and tomorrow at 7pm and at 2pm on Saturday.

Tickets cost £10 for adults or £8 for children and concessions. Ring 01604 624811 or buy tickets on the door.

The show will then tour to various village locations in Northamptonshire, including Loder Hall, Maidwell, on September 7 at 7pm and Arthlingworth Village Hall on September 8. For more details about venues and timings, visit the company’s website, www.lookingglasstheatre.co.uk.
