A new musical comedy from the writer of Calendar Girls is coming to Royal & Derngate in Northampton.

This Is My Family is about the holiday of a lifetime which 13-year-old Nicky wins for her family.

The show is a heart-warming story about a chaotic family which captures the comedy and tragedy of daily domestic life.

The story tells how typical teenager Nicky wins a holiday, and takes her family to the last place they would expect.

Rachel Lumberg plays free-spirited aunt Sian, Evelyn Hoskins and Terence Keeley play teenagers Nicky and sulky brother Matt, with Clare Burt as barely-coping mum Yvonne, and Bill Champion as DIY-mad dad Steve. Marjorie Yates completes the cast as grandmother May.

This Is My Family takes to the Royal stage from October 21 to 25 with performances at 7.45pm each evening and matinees at 2.30pm on Thursday and Saturday.

Tickets are priced from £10 to £31.50 and can be booked by calling 01604 624811 or visiting www.royalandderngate.co.uk.

This performance is recommended for ages 12 and above.
