Tickets are already on sale, a year in advance, for the tour of a hit West End production of Singin’ In The Rain.
The show, which is a stage version of the classic movie, will be staged at Milton Keynes Theatre from July 1–12 next year.
The show will star stage and screen leading man, Maxwell Caulfield, as studio boss, R.F. Simpson, and Coronation Street favourite, Vicky Binns, as starlet Lina Lamont.
Vicky, who played Molly in Corrie, said: “To be in a musical of this scale and quality is a dream job. I was blown away when I saw it in London, so it’s a thrill to bring it straight from the West End to Milton Keynes. The part of Lina is a gift of a role as the writing is packed with humour, pathos and, well, fabulousness.”
In Singing’ In The Rain, Don Lockwood is a silent movie star with everything he could want, but Hollywood is about to change forever. There is rumour in the studio of a new kind of film, where the actors actually talk. Tickets range from £15–£45. Shows will take place at 7.30pm each day, with 2.30pm matinees on the Wednesday and Saturday. Call 08448 717652.
