Lewis Carroll’s famous story of Alice in Wonderland will be brought to The Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering next week in a spectacular dance production.

The company Ballet Theatre UK has put together this version of a childhood classic, telling the story of Alice’s tumble down the rabbit hole into an enchanted and wacky dream world.

This staging promises to be a visual spectacle with 50 hand-crafted costumes, sumptuous stage sets and an array of special effects.

Ballet Theatre UK was founded by artistic director Christopher Moore and is now a well-known UK touring ballet company.

Within its first five years the company has developed a growing repertoire of productions such as Alice in Wonderland, The Snow Queen and A Christmas Carol.

According to its website, the company takes its inspiration from classical dance, theatre, popular culture and literature to develop original productions or create new interpretations of classical ballets.

The show will be performed at 7.30pm on Friday, April 19.

Tickets cost £19 at full price, £17.50 for concessions or £65 for a family of four. To book, visit www.
