A children’s story about a kite caught in a tree will be performed at The Core at Corby Cube on Saturday.

A new adaptation of Stuck, by award-winning author and illustrator Oliver Jeffers, will be performed at 11am and 2pm.

The adventure begins when little Floyd gets his kite stuck in a tree. He throws up his shoe to shift it, but that gets stuck, so he throws up his other shoe and that gets stuck too. As well as this, the cat, a ladder, a pot of paint, the kitchen sink, an orang-utan, a whale and a host of other things also get stuck. Will Floyd ever get his kite back?

With original music and plenty of audience participation, this new story has been adapted into a production for families and young children by Big Wooden Horse.

Oliver Jeffers has become a world-wide sensation with his stunning artwork and wonderful stories, including How To Catch A Star, This Moose Belongs To Me, The New Jumper and Lost And Found.

Tickets for Stuck cost £9.50 or £7.50 for concessions. To book, call the ticket line on 01536 470470 or visit www.thecorecorby.com.

The show is said to be suitable for those aged three and above.
