Sir Roger tells tales of life in Tinseltown

A rare opportunity to see a Hollywood star and listen to his anecdotes comes to the Royal & Derngate in Northampton on Monday when Sir Roger Moore is in town.

The leading man best known for his suave and humorous portrayal of James Bond will talk about the role and the many other highlights of his long career.

In An Evening With Sir Roger Moore, the actor will be interviewed by biographer Gareth Owen and keep the audience entertained with his skill as a raconteur.

He has a new book out called Last Man Standing: Tales from Tinseltown and he will be telling stories from his life in the movies.

Sir Roger has certainly come a long way in his career.

The son of a policeman, he grew up in south London and became an actor. He became a star in TV shows The Saint and The Persuaders before taking on the iconic 007 role.

The show also features an audience Q&A, which will give people the chance to put their questions to the man himself.
