The longest-running comedy show in the West End, The Reduced Shakespeare Company’s Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) is to be performed at Stowe School.
The show is an irreverent, fast-paced romp through 37 plays in 97 minutes.
The Reduced Shakespeare Company is a three-man comedy troupe that takes long, serious subjects and reduces them to short, sharp comedies.
Since 1981, they have created eight stage shows and two television specials.
The company’s first three shows, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), The Complete History of America (abridged) and The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) ran at the Criterion Theatre in Piccadilly Circus.
Now they are on tour with a show that weaves its way through all of the Bard’s comedies, histories and tragedies.
The show is on at The Roxburgh Hall, Stowe School, Buckingham, on Saturday, May 31.
Tickets cost £16 or £14 for concessions. To buy tickets visit www.stowearts.co.uk. For further information about the show call 01280 818012 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
