There will be plenty of comedy on offer in Northampton during the coming week for audiences who like a laugh.
Comedy for a good cause will be performed on Saturday at Wootton Community Centre, in Northampton, starting at 8pm.
Performers will include Aatif Nawaz, Katerina Vrana, Darsham Sanghrajka and Hyde Panaser. There will also be live music by Anjaan and DJ Ashley. For over 18s only.
Tickets cost £12.50 and proceeds go to Duchenne Now (dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for people living with Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy) and the Sikh Community Centre Youth Club.
At Northampton’s Royal & Derngate next week, Nina Conti will also be entertaining audiences with her trademark blend of ventriloquism and comedy. The show, entitled Dolly Mixtures, will see Nina introduce her daughter, her handyman, her oldest friend and a stray dog into the act. The show will be held on Thursday, October 10 at 7.45pm. The Royal & Derngate will also play host to a special night of comedy on Sunday, October 6, to mark Black History Month. The Mek Mi Laugh event, entitled Rudi Lickwood and his Comedy Chums, will include performances by international comic Rudi Lickwood as well as Will E Robo, Dana Alexandar, Special P Francis and Annette Fagon. The show will start at 8pm. Suitable for ages 18 and over. Tickets cost £12.50 from 01604 624811.
The theatre will also stage its Screaming Blue Murder Comedy Club tomorrow at 8.15pm. The line-up will include Michael Legge and Simon Munnery. Tickets cost £12.50. Recommended for those aged 16 and over.
