Pirate tale at Stanwick Lakes

The swashbuckling tale of Long John Silver will be performed at Stanwick Lakes this week by the Cambridge Touring Theatre.

The touring show, Treasure Island, will arrive at Stanwick on Wednesday when audiences will be able to enjoy a new version of a classic story.

In this production, Jim and his young pirate friend Red Ruth find a map and set off for an island to find treasure. On the way, they learn that things are not always as they seem.

For children (aged five to 10) who want to get involved, there will be a drama workshop held at 2.30pm. The performance will start at 4pm.

Tickets cost £9 or £12 for the show, but family tickets are also available. The workshop costs £2.50. For booking, see www.cambridgetouringtheatre.co.uk
