Puppetry Of The Penis brings the art of genital origami to Royal & Derngate in Northampton on Saturday at 8pm.

The show was conceived by two Australians who had developed solo acts involving their respective members, unbeknownst to each other.

These two puppeteers, Simon Morley and David Friend, unleashed their combined talents on the world in 1998 and their uncanny and occasionally eye-watering impressions of shapes, objects and landmarks quickly became an international sensation.

A spokesman said: “Taking the West End by storm twice and selling out at the Edinburgh Fringe, the award-winning show has established a huge fan base, including Elton John, Naomi Campbell and the Beckhams. Puppetry Of The Penis features firm favourites such as ‘the hamburger’, ‘the wristwatch’, and ‘the windsurfer’, among some new additions for the 2013 tour. A video camera projects the intimate details of these incredible phenomena to ensure that little is missed.

“Puppetry Of The Penis is a non-sexual show containing full frontal male nudity.”

Tickets cost £19.50 and £21.50. To book, call the box office on 01604 624811. The show is suitable for those aged 16 and over.
