Comedian Omid Djalili has been performing in New York, LA, San Francisco and Washington DC over the past year and now he has Kettering in his sights.

The British/Iranian comedian and actor is bringing his show Iranalamadingdong to the Lighthouse Theatre later this month.

In the new show he discusses a variety of themes including overcoming your fears, relationships, the perils of celebrity and getting older.

He said: “A lot of men in their 40s try to do things to prove themselves. For me it was a choice of going on tour, learning to ride a unicycle or understanding Judaism.”

Omid has had a varied career to date, not only as a stand-up comedian but as an actor on stage and screen.

Among his theatre performances he has appeared as Fagin in Oliver and Dr Rance in Joe Orton’s What The Butler Saw.

On screen he starred in The Infidel and appeared in Sex and the City 2.

He has won a number of awards including the Time Out Award for best stand-up.

The show is at The Lighthouse on September 26.
