A LIMITED number of tickets remain to see one of TV’s most popular comedians perform at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate.
Jason Manford is set to make his return with a new show, called First World Problems, which is said to include “hilarious anecdotes, comic misunderstandings and audience banter”.
Born in Salford, Jason first ventured into comedy at the age of 17 when he was working at the Southern Hotel in Manchester, collecting glasses.
When a performer did not arrive to do a set at the Buzz Comedy Club upstairs, Jason filled in. Six gigs later, he was crowned The City Life North West Comedian Of The Year.
After winning several smaller awards, Jason was nominated for the Perrier Award in Edinburgh in 2005 for his show, Urban Legends.
As well as having performed at comedy clubs across the UK and further afield, Jason is also known for TV appearances on shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Channel 4’s Comedy Gala, Tonightly and Sky Three’s Premier League Allstars Extra Time. He also hosted Jason Manford and Friends on Radio 2.
Jason will perform his Northampton show tomorrow at 8pm. Tickets cost £23.50. Visit www.royalandderngate.co.uk for details.
