The team behind the award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong are returning to The Royal & Derngate in Northampton with their own spin on the pantomime.

Mischief Theatre has produced a show called Peter Pan Goes Wrong. In this we meet The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society which is attempting to stage J M Barrie’s classic tale of Peter Pan but, as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong… does.

Accident-prone hardly begins to cover it as the actors attempt to bring us an adventure to Neverland. The show, which is on from February 23 to 28, is full of physical comedy and daring stunts with slapstick inspired by Buster Keaton.

Top Hat producer Kenny Wax said: “We took a huge gamble in transferring The Play That Goes Wrong into the West End; a new comedy starring ‘no-one famous’ by unknown writers.

“And yet our sold-out show is delighting packed houses night after night.”

The showis on from February 23 to 28. Tickets – priced from £19 to £31 – can be booked by calling 01604 624811 or online at www.royalandderngate.co.uk.
