In search of the Flumflum Tree

A tale written by the author of The Gruffalo Julia Donaldson will be performed at Royal & Derngate in Northampton.

Jack And The Flumflum Tree comes to the Underground Stage at the theatre from Friday, July 4, to Sunday July 6.

It tells the story of Jack and his granny who is sick with a case of the moozles and the only cure is the fruit of the Flumflum Tree which only grown on the isle of Blowyernose.

So Jack sets off on a dangerous journey in a leaky boat with a sack of useful items that his granny has packed for him including tent pegs and chewing gum.

He does not travel alone, but has his companions with him as he sets sail.

The show has been produced by the Bamboozle theatre company, which brought Neil Gaiman’s Crazy Hair and Along The Riverbank to the stage.

The family show includes songs and puppetry and is generally recommended for children aged four to 10 or for seven to 14-year-old children with learning disabilities. Jack And The Flumflum Tree comes to Royal & Derngate from Friday, July 4, to Sunday, July 6, with performances at 11am and 2pm daily.
