Funnyman’s foodie frolics at Stahl theatre

GLASWEGIAN funnyman Hardeep Singh Kohli presents his unique blend of cooking and comedy at The Stahl theatre in Oundle tonight.

Grab a seat and tuck in as the celebrated broadcaster, raconteur, writer and cook brings his stand-up show to the venue.

Think Ready Steady Cook combined with funny anecdotes, in an extended two-hour version of Hardeep’s 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival show The Nearly Naked Chef.

Hardeep is a frequent guest on BBC1’s Question Time, This Week with Andrew Neil and was a former Newsnight Review presenter and a regular face on The One Show.

Hardeep was runner-up on the first series of Celebrity Masterchef which led to two series for UKTV Food, New British Kitchen and Chefs and the City.

His love of food is expressed in his larger than average belly and the publication in 2008 of his first book Indian Takeaway, nominated for an Independent Book Award. He has written about food for Observer Food Monthly, The Spectator, The Times, The Sunday Times and various other publications.

The show is on Monday at 7.45pm.
