A blacksmith’s boy is transformed into a refined London gentleman with the help of a mysterious benefactor.

Dickens’ tale, Great Expectations is to be performedat the Castle Theatre studio in Wellingborough on Wednesday, October 1, at 7.45pm.

The show is being performed by London Contemporary Theatre.

They will take the audience on a journey through Dickensian London as they tell the story of Pip who is haunted by his love for the beautiful Estella who he met when he visited the house of Miss Havisham when he was a child.

The tale of mystery and criminality will beperformed by a cast of musician actors.

The company has a track record of creating fast-paced radio and theatre productions and they always aim to make their productions of the classics accessible and fun for the whole audience.

They use original live music to bring the novel to life.

Great Expectations is suitable for audiences aged 10 years and over.
