A theatrical modern classic comes to the Castle Theatre in Wellingborough this week.
Scaramouche Jones tells the epic story of one man’s extraordinary life which spans the twentieth century, from the day his mother gave birth in a Trinidadian brothel to his final performance in the circus ring on the last night of the millennium.
This production of Justin Butcher’s epic script was first presented as part of Northampton’s Masque Theatre’s 80th anniversary season.
Such was the reception it received, director Kate Billingham and actor Richard Jordan formed a theatrical company to continue touring the show.
White Cobra Productions is named after one of the most memorable characters Scaramouche encounters during his global odyssey, which takes in three continents.
The play runs for one night only, in The Studio at The Castle on Saturday.
The curtain will go up at 7.45pm.
This is the last scheduled performance in Northamptonshire before the production heads goes on tour around the UK.
