The hit musical, Dreamboats and Petticoats, will make its return to Northampton’s Royal & Derngate next week.
Featuring some of the best-known songs of the rock ‘n’ roll era, the show is set in 1961 as emotions run high when musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win a national song-writing competition... and the attentions of a girl named Sue.
But when Bobby discovers that shy Laura is no slouch on the piano, love and rock ‘n’ roll fame beckon.
Since having its premiere in 2009, the show has played to more than two million people across the UK.
Written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran – the team behind Goodnight Sweetheart and Birds Of A Feather – the show is produced by Bill Kenwright and Laurie Mansfield in association with Universal Music.
The show includes tracks from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran and many more.
Dreamboats and Petticoats will run from Monday, January 27 until Saturday, February 1, at 7.30pm nightly, with 2.30pm matinees on the Wednesday and Saturday.
Tickets cost between £15 and £30. To book, or for more information, call 01604 624811 or visit www. royalandderngate.co.uk
