Audiences will be barking mad to miss The Castle theatre’s Christmas show this year, which is all about a lovely set of dogs in peril.

In this “sparkling, heart-warming” production of the much-loved classic tale One Hundred And One Dalmatians, by Dodie Smith, the characters Pongo and Missis are proud parents of 15 adorable Dalmatian puppies. However, the fur-loving Cruella De Vil cannot keep her eyes off them and soon steals the poor puppies (and 86 others) for her own wicked plan.

Pongo and Missis set off on a thrilling quest to save the pups from the clutches of the hideous Cruella and along the way they enlist the help of every dog in England (and the occasional helpful human). Can the courageous pair save their pups and get them back in time for Christmas?

Alongside the nine professional actors in One Hundred And One Dalmatians, The Castle theatre in Wellingborough will be welcoming a talented team of young local actors, chosen at auditions to play the Dalmatians and young dogs.

The show started its run earlier this week and will be performed until Saturday, December 28.

Tickets cost £14 or £12. Family tickets cost £48 for two adults and two children. Call 01933 270007 or visit www.thecastle.org.uk.
