Dick Whittington goes on the road across Corby

A pantomime written and performed by members of a local drama group will go on tour from this Sunday.

Eclipse Performing Arts will be taking this year’s panto Dick Whittington to venues in the Corby area from Sunday until Friday, December 7.

This year’s production has been written by Donna Mills and Lisa Neave.

Performances will be held at 2pm on Sunday at The Conservative Club, Corby; on Monday at 7.30pm at the Baptist church in Rowlett Road, Corby; on Tuesday at 7pm, at Gretton Sports Club; on Thursday, December 6 at 7.30pm, at The Arc Theatre, Rockingham Road School, Corby; and on Friday, December 7, 7.30pm at Arran Community Centre, Mull Drive in Corby.

A spokesman said: “Eclipse’s pantomimes are a Corby tradition. They have been performed in venues in and around Corby for 13 years.

“The idea was originally to take theatre out to people who might not be able or indeed want to go to a ‘theatre.’”

Tickets cost £4. Contact venues for tickets, apart from those for the December 7 show; instead email eclipsepa@hotmail.com

This theatre group will also be running “very adult” Christmas shows.
