There are not always opportunities for the general public to appreciate the work produced by students during their time at university.

But this week audiences at The Core at Corby Cube will have this chance when an evening of dance is presented by University of Northampton students.

Newgrounds 2013 will be brought to the stage by students from the university’s BA (Hons) dance programme.

The showcase event will feature new commissions from emerging choreographers, alongside a repertoire by Lisa Spackman (Two Thirds Sky Dance Company) and Matthew Gough (Playgrounds Dance Company).

The show is said to: “reflect the degree programme’s innovative approach to choreography, performance and dance writing, which has received international recognition.”

Newgrounds 2013 will be performed tomorrow and on Saturday at 7.30pm nightly.

Tickets cost £10.50.
