Kettering’s James Acaster will be returning to his home town on Saturday to perform an evening of comedy.
James is currently travelling the country with his Lawnmower Tour which follows hot on the heels of his Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award-Best Show nomination.
His Northamptonshire show, which will start at 8pm, is to be performed at the Kettering Arts Centre, St Andrew’s Church in Rockingham Road.
A spokesman said: “James will tell you how he’s attempting to clear Yoko Ono’s name, why he continues to dress head to toe in Mark & Spencer and the manifold reasons why he’s obsessed with Mariachi music.
“Since winning Off The Kerb’s Laughing Boy New Act of the Year in 2010, James has gone on to receive critical acclaim for his Edinburgh shows Amongst Other Things and Prompt, as well as nominations for the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2012 and 2013. As well as appearing on stage, James recently recorded James Acaster’s Findings for BBC Radio 4.”
Tickets cost £12 or £10. These are available from Waterstones in Kettering or from www.ketteringartscentre.com.
