Youngsters aged between 10 and 16 will have the chance to work with a professional film maker to create their own movie as part of a course at The Core at Corby Cube.
Industry professional Martin Steed will be on hand to help participants create a film, to be shown at the Corby Youth Arts Slam event.
The Film In A Week course offers youngsters the chance to make their own short film in five days.
A spokesman said: “Young people will be taught all the skills they need to script, shoot and edit their very own piece of cinema in a friendly and welcoming environment.
“The week will culminate in style when participants are given the chance to bring their film to be shown at The Core on March 28, as part of a wider showcase reflecting the wealth of skills and talent that Corby‘s young people have to offer.
“An excellent opportunity for all budding film makers, directors and future stars of the silver screen, Film In A Week offers a half term activity with a difference, that promises to bring out the creativity in its young participants and offer them a rewarding and fulfilling challenge.”
The course runs from Monday, February 17, to Friday, February 21. It costs £60. Ring 01536 470470.
