Comedy, laughter and even a tap-dancing cow are promised in a new production of Jack and the Beanstalk which is to be performed in Wellingborough later this month.
Scripted by Neil Richardson and Anita Walker, this classic tale is being staged by the Wellingborough Pantomime Society at The Castle theatre.
The cast will be about 45-strong, including local children, who have been called in to take part in the fun and action.
The traditional story starts with a chance to hiss and boo at the baddie, who is challenged by the fairy.
She will help Jack as he bids to win the battle and destroy the giant.
As well as some tap dancing by Jack’s trusty cow, Buttercup, there is also a little romance on the cards between the prince and princess.
Central to all the action is the magical growing beanstalk.
Tickets can be bought direct from The Castle box office, or call 01933 270007.
