A touch of musical hilarity in Sister Act

DIVINE musical, Sister Act, goes to Milton Keynes Theatre from Tuesday this week.

Based on the hit film of the same name, it tells the tale of disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, who witnesses a murder, and is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found... a convent.

The show stars Coronation Street’s Denise Black as Mother Superior, and Brookside favourite, Michael Starke as Monsignor O’Hara, with Cynthia Erivo as nun-on-the-run, Deloris Van Cartier. The show runs from Tuesday to Saturday, June 30. Tickets cost £15 to £45. It can be seen from Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, and on Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.

An new musical called ‘Extraordinary’ comes to The Lighthouse Theatre, in Kettering on Sunday. The musical will be presented by Genesis Theatre School and Agency and performed by over 50 youngsters aged from five to age 18.

The show starts at 6.30pm.Tickets cost: £10 and concessions cost £7.
