FOR the past decade Britain’s favourite comedy website Chortle has been honouring the best live comedy acts, from Sarah Millican to Kevin Bridges before they were famous.

Now, for a night of laughs, in The Best Of The Chortle Awards, a line up of recent award-winners and nominees perform live at The Core at Corby Cube next Thursday, September 13.

Decided by critics and comedy fans alike, the evening features four top new comedians including MC Jimmy McGhie, a nominee for the Best MC Chortle Award 2012 and Dave Gorman’s co-presenter on Absolute Radio, and Adam Hess, Chortle’s Student Award winner in 2011 and BBC’s 2011 New Comedy Award finalist.

They are joined by Carl Donnelly, Chortle’s 2009 Breakthrough Act nominee who has since appeared on BBC’s Mock The Week and Russell Howard’s Good News, along with Michael Fabbri, a nominee for this year’s Chortle’s Best Club Comic Award.

For an evening of great comedy from four new comedians, The Best Of The Chortle Awards at The Core at Corby Cube starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £12, concessions £10, and are available by calling the Ticket Office on 01536 470 470 or online at www.thecorecorby.com.

Please note this performance is recommended for ages 16 and above.
