Skinner to play DJ set at Northampton venue

Tickets are on sale to see Mike Skinner who plays at the Department of Liquor & Social Affairs on Friday, May 1.

The former front man of The Streets rose to fame in 2002 with his hugely influential debut album, Original Pirate Material, which spliced hip hop and garage sounds.

The album was followed by 2004’s A Grand Don’t Come For Free and 2006’s The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living, both of which topped the UK album charts.

The records included the hits Let’s Push Things Forward, Fit But You Know It and the number one single, Dry Your Eyes.

Early bird tickets are on sale now and cost £10 before fees. General admission tickets are £12 before fees.

The venue in Bridge Street, Northampton, will also be selling tickets from Saturday, February 28, which will be available to purchase without fees. Any remaining tickets will be £15 on the door, however, the event is expected to sell out in advance.
