Following her X Factor win, her single, Skyscraper, became the UK Christmas number one in 2013 and was the first X Factor winning song to top the charts during the festive period for three years. Skyscraper sold more than 300,000 copies in the UK with all proceeds donated to the Great Ormond Street Hospital and the charity Together for Short Lives. In 2016, Sam was busy on stage playing the role of Mama Morton in the UK tour of the award-winning Broadway show Chicago. Over the past few months, she has been running competitions to search for local talent to support her on her tour, by inviting singers in each area to apply to be her special guest for one night. Georgia and Prok – an acoustic duo performing their own arrangements of pop songs from the past few decades – were selected to perform at Royal & Derngate.

Sam will also be joined on stage by community choir Musical Village. Sam Bailey headlines the venue on Thursday, March 2. Doors 7.30pm, tickets from £25.50 before fees. VIP packages are available.
