US folk rock act, Frontier Ruckus, headline The Labour Club in Northampton on Monday.
The band released their third album, Eternity of Dimming, earlier this year. The 20-song double-album is about an hour-and-a-half long and features more than 5,500 words in lyrical length.
Ignoring the clichéd trappings of the re-popularised modern folk movement, Frontier Ruckus “celebrates and insulates itself within a world that is obsessively suburban, within childhoods realistic and recent enough to remain vividly smoldering with intense memory”.
Frontier Ruckus comprise of Matthew Milia, David Jones, Zachary Nichols and Ryan Etzcorn.
Support is by Northampton’s My First Tooth.
They play the Labour Club in Charles Street on Monday, September 9.
Doors open at 8pm. Event for venue members and their guests. Visit www.facebook.com/frontierruckus
