Washington punk rock trio MxPx headline the Craufurd Arms in Wolverton on Wednesday.

The band, which formed in 1992, released their ninth full-length album, Plans Within Plans, in April.

MxPx is singer and bassist Mike Herrera, guitarist and singer Tom Wisniewski and drummer Yuri Ruley.

Their early sound was influenced by the likes of Descendents, Black
Flag and other southern Californian skate punk bands.

However, during a career spanning two decades they have gone onto carve out their own melodic punk rock sound. Last year, they released a documentary which featured footage from their 2008 world tour through to their sold-out Seattle show in March 2011.

MxPx play the Craufurd Arms on Wednesday, August 8.
