Fairport Convention’s Dave Pegg and Irish troubadour Anthony John Clarke will be joining up to play Kettering Arts Centre on Saturday November 26.
Pegg enjoyed playing the venue so much last year with Fairport Convention he virtually insisted on returning as a duo with one of the top songwriters on the acoustic / folk scene, Clarke.
These two musicians and consummate entertainers have been friends and touring partners for almost ten years.
Bass player with Fairport Convention since the early 1970s and with Jethro Tull from 1979 to 1993, Pegg is a genuine music legend who has played on many iconic albums by some of the greatest names in the folk world.
With 12 albums under his belt, Clarke has written several of the most popular songs in the contemporary folk canon.
The pair bring their Mirth & Mischief Tour to the Lindsay Street venue on Saturday, November 26.
Doors open at 7.30pm and music is from 8pm.
Tickets cost £10 in advance and are available in advance by calling 07759765824 or via www.ketteringartscentre.com
