The first group of serving members of the armed forces to hit the British pop charts, The Soldiers bring their Up Close tour to Royal & Derngate tomorrow night.
The trio is made up of Sergeant Major Gary Chilton, Staff Sergeant Richie Maddocks and Lance Corporal Ryan Idzi.
They are first class, singing and dancing entertainers who have touched a chord with the nation.
On their latest tour, fans can expect to hear their takes on classics like He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother, Stand by Me, With a Little Help from My Friends, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me and Bridge Over Troubled Water, as well as their debut hit, the original Coming Home.
They have served in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait.
Their two top ten albums, Coming Home and Letters Home, released in the space of a year sold more than 800,000 copies and helped raise more than half a million pounds for army charities.
They have performed for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance, and at The Festival of Remembrance two years running.
