Sheri Kershaw plays Kontra club

The Sheri Kershaw Band headline the Kontra Roots Club tomorrow night.

Sheri was well known for 30 years as the wife of pop star Nik Kershaw and sang, recorded and performed around the world.

She has her own band with guitarist Martyn Hewitt and bassist Chris Brimley.

Support is by Ethemia, which comprises of Michaela Mott and Benny Poulton.

The pair have been compared to The Civil Wars and Robert Plant & Alison Krauss.

Making up the bill is young Northants acoustic act, Hudson Bay Trappers, who play ambient indie folk.

Kontra is at Kennedy’s Bar, at The Tower Sports Ground, Irthlingborough Road, Finedon. Doors open at 8pm and admission is free.
